The Flame + Flair Halloween Festival is a festive Halloween event held on Franklin Street in the Uptown Arts District in Michigan City, IN. The event includes a Thriller Dance that is performed by the local youth, trick-or-treating at all of the downtown businesses, a haunted/themed house at Artspace Uptown Artist Lofts, and a fire dancing performance to close out the night.
5:30 - 7:30 Trick-or-Treating downtown at the local businesses (ends 7:30 or when we run out of candy)
5:30 - 7:30 Tim Burton and "IT" themed haunted house at Artspace
6:00 - 6:15 Thriller Dance in front of Ryan's Pub
6:15 - 6:30 Count Kennedy's Coffins along Franklin St.
6:30 - 8:00 Fire Dancing Performance & Zombies!
MCMA has purchased nearly 9,000 pieces of candy for local businesses to hand out to children during the trick-or-treating so there will be plenty of candy for everyone. Many kids from the community have a spent a lot of time and energy learning and practicing the Thriller Dance for their synchronized performance. Artspace is decorating their first floor as a haunted house with other cool themes. County Kennedy and his flame-shooting batmobile will be loud and exciting. And this year we have two brand new fire dancing troupes that are here to delight.
This night is a wonderful family-friendly opportunity for children and families to experience the downtown in a unique and memorable way.
Don't miss this experience and be sure to share this event with your friends!
