Group Housing/Services Coordinator
I am a 1990 graduate of Elmira College in New York, I have a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Prior to working at the South Shore Convention & Visitors Authority, I spent 11 years working in the hospitality industry, either at a hotel, convention and visitors bureau or as an independent contractor.
In 2007, I began working as a part-time Group Housing Coordinator. My primary responsibility is to assist incoming individuals and groups with their lodging needs, which means working closely with our local hotel properties, and the SSCVA sales staff.
I live in Valparaiso with my husband and two children. My spare time is consumed mostly with driving kids to and from volleyball and basketball practices and/or games and tournaments. However, we do manage to squeeze in some visits to the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore each year, as well as, Deep River Water Park. Our favorite local festival is the annual Valparaiso Popcorn Festival because it’s amazing to see the creativity that goes into making floats primarily out of popcorn.
