Sledding

Sledding in Northwest Indiana is a great opportunity to get outside on a winter day, and there are lots of locations to choose from.

The sledding hills at Lake County Park's Oak Ridge Prairie in Griffith and Lemon Lake in Crown Point will be open through March when an adequate snow base allows. Call after 9 am to see if the hills are open before you come out.

Centennial Park in Munster, Lost Marsh Golf Course in Hammond and Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point are some of the local's favorite places to go flying down the hill. In Valparaiso, Sunset Hill FarmRogers-Lakewood Park and Forest Park Golf Course have fun sledding hills.

Indiana Dunes State Park has Devil's Slide, a long hill that is loads of fun, too - check out the video below!

Just be careful and keep space between you and other sledders to avoid collisions! All locations are sled at your own risk.
